Privacy policy

Short version: no accounts, no ad trackers, no data selling. Here’s exactly what happens.

Effective July 2026

What we don’t do

What we do handle

When you check a price

The product link or ID you enter is sent to our server to fetch its price history, cached to save cost. It isn’t tied to any identity; we keep only an anonymous, aggregate tally of how many checks we’ve done.

If you turn on price alerts (optional)

Your browser creates an anonymous push subscription (a delivery token — no name or email) which we store, with the products you asked us to watch, so we can notify you when a verdict changes. Stop watching deletes them. You can also revoke notifications in your browser at any time.

On your own device

We use your browser’s local storage to remember your preferences and your watchlist. That data stays on your device and isn’t sent to us.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider may briefly log request data (such as IP address) for security and reliability. We don’t use it to build profiles.

Never sold, never profiled. We don’t run ad trackers or build a profile of you. Affiliate networks (e.g. Amazon Associates) may set their own cookie when you click through to a store — that’s covered by their policies.

Your choices

Turn off alerts anytime (Stop watching, or your browser settings), and clear local data by clearing your browser storage. To ask about data we may hold, contact us. worthitforyou isn’t directed at children under 13.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above.
