How to tell a real deal from a fake one

- Ignore the struck-through "was". It is often a price the product almost never sold at.
- Compare with its own usual price. A real deal sits clearly below what the product normally costs.
- Check how rare the price is. Near its lowest price of the year is a BUY; a price it hits every month is not special.
- Look past event badges on everyday prices. A "limited time" label does not make a normal price a deal.
